The next Giving2sday will be November 29, 2022 (1st Tuesday after Thanksgiving)

Dear Fellow Concert Association Member or Friend:

In an effort to enhance the long-term viability and sustainability of the Concert Association we are working to build our endowment funds, which are managed by the Community Foundation for Crawford County. This message is explaining an opportunity for you to make a difference for good AND to maximize your contribution dollars.

To be eligible for pro-rata matching, contributions must be made between now and November 29.

This year the Community Foundation and The Mason Companies, E-Z Go (a Textron Company), Apex Clean Energy Holdings LLC and the Hord Family Donor Advised Fund are providing an all-time high of pro-rata Matching Funds TOTALING $35,000!

In addition, Mizick Miller will be awarding $500 to each of the top earning funds in three categories: agency funds (like the Concert Association), school funds and scholarship funds.

FC Bank is sponsoring a “Power Hour” for all online contributions made on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, between 6 – 7 PM. Every donation, no matter how large or small, made online during this time will enter the donor’s name into a drawing. Three (3) randomly chosen winners will each get to choose which fund they want to receive a $500 prize. There is no limit on the number of donations to multiple endowments a donor can give – the more donations you make, the greater your chances of winning!

The amount of Foundation pro-rata match to the Concert Association will depend on the total amount contributed but thus far previous “Giving2sday Matchings” have not been less than 12.5 cents on the dollar...an instant unbeatable immediate return!

We are asking you to consider a tax-deductible contribution, to the full extent permitted by law, to the Crawford County Community Concert Association Endowment through the Foundation on or before Giving2sday cutoff of November 29, 2022.

This can be done in one of two ways:

Writing a check Payable To the: Community Foundation For Crawford County and on the memo line adding: “For Crawford Concert Assoc.” Please remember for the Concert Association to receive the pro-rata matching… Your Check Must Be Dated November 29, 2022.

Your check must be mailed or delivered between now and the end of end of the day November 29. Mailing address: Crawford County Community Concert Association PO Box 504 Bucyrus, Ohio 44820-0504. In addition to mailing, checks may also be deposited in the secure drop box behind the Foundation’s office at 254 E. Mansfield Street in Bucyrus, or taken to the Crestline Public Library on Tuesday, November 29 between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

If you are making withdrawals from an IRA, you might want to consider talking to your accountant or tax advisor about making your contribution directly from your retirement account to the Foundation on Giving2sday by taking advantage of a tool called a Qualified Charitable Distribution. This method may provide an advantageous way of maximizing your charitable deductions. We always encourage our donors to seek tax advice from their tax advisor.

The Foundation has also set up an easy-to-use on-line method for contributing through Giving2sday:
1. Go to: https://cfcrawford.networkforgood.com
2. Key the “Donate” box.
3. Indicate the amount of your gift.
4. In the box which says, “Your Note for the Donor Scroll” please type, “For the Concert Association”.
5. A payment screen will allow you to make a safe & secure credit card payment.

After we are notified by the Foundation of all gifts received, an official recognition of your gift will be mailed to you and the Foundation will send you a receipt for your tax records recognizing and Thanking You for your gift and support.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (419 569-3811).

Due to your generous support, last year’s efforts were very successful, and we were able to add a total of $10,061.30 (including a 17.85% match from the Foundation) to our endowment funds.

Thank you for your kind attention and continuing support!

Tom Holtshouse, President
